I threw my over 10 year old Logitech Harmony Elite in the junk drawer when I received my Remote 3 in January. Fast forward 5 months and I’m glad I didn’t factory reset it or sell it. After trying to deal with the ghost touches, screen freezes, random screen pixelations, green screen issues, devices not being available/ready due to slow WiFi reconnection I couldn’t put up with it anymore on the R3. Having to reset the remote 4-5x a day and having it randomly switch apps I’m watching or turning on/off lights connected to HA was too much. Nothing like watching the Stanley Cup finals in OT just to have the remote decide it wants to switch to Netflix and 10 different apps. I placed a service ticket with Unfolded but not expecting anything from them to fix any of the issues. I dusted off the Logitech and it is not as fancy and it’s a fraction slower for commands to react since it’s IR based. But it just works is all I can say. I pick up the remote, the screen instantly turns on and is ready to accept button commands. No waiting, no errors, no ghost touches, screen freezes or resetting. I really hope Marton and Unfolded can get their shit together and fix the R3 issues. But at this point they are being outdone by a remote that was released over 10 years ago.
