Integration ideas?

I second harvey28s request for a SkyQ integration. Appreciate that is a UK thing but a massive miss right now for the UK.

same, without the physical device its really hard…. i assume SkyQ is a TV provider with a set top box?

Understood and yes it is.

Doesn’t the integration only work if the JVC if the JVC is on the network? I tried it but could’nt find it.

Hi M.a.S.e,

could you make an integration for Musicast?

Hard for me without having the device for testing.

M.a.S.e I found this on google: Musicast ,perhaps you can do something with it

i can, but without any multicast physical device it will be developing blind with no ability to test during development. i need to either figure out to build a simulator or have a physical device locally for dev.

i am going to try to figure out a simulator for music cast but i will need help from someone with the physical device….

Not an integration but an idea: Harmony remotes had a wizard to create activities which could be realized using the Core API and a web frontend

I think albaintor is the wizard of the API. He already has all entities in his web tool.

+1, agreed

Synology integration is complete FYI: GitHub - mase1981/uc-intg-synology-system

Anyone with Music Cast physical device and willing / have time to help me develop this? I got progress and a simulator script. But really hard without the physical device. That being said, I got somewhere. If anyone got a physical device and some time and willing to do some debugging send me a DM. Thank you.

I have a Musicast environment and time. Could help testing. Not sure if my tec knowledge is good enough for debugging.

send me a DM  lets give it a try.

Hi, happy to try.

Hi @M.a.S.e Really grateful for all the effort you’ve put into these extras additions.

I was just wondering if a simpler Naim amplifier integration might be possible. It can be done (see this thread.. naim-amplifiers), but at the moment it feels a bit of a mix-and-match setup to get different things working. For someone new or not very tech-savvy, it can be a bit tricky to follow.

Totally understand if it’s not feasible – especially without having the devices to test with – but as you were asking for ideas I thought I’d throw it in :slightly_smiling_face: I’m not hugely technical myself and pretty busy, but I’d be glad to help test, and I know a few others here have Naim gear too.

Thanks again for all the hard work you’re putting into this!

Hey, no problems  i enjoy helping and figuring it out… for this Yamaha Music Cast i built a simulator, its really hard without having the device but i am learning about simulators as i go and progress… it might be doable, usually if there is a home assistant integration already or a python integration avaialble on github its very doable…. depending on the device. yes, very hard without having the actual device but thats where i ask folks to help test…. you the first one asking for Naim

Yamaha Music Cast is ready: Yamaha MusicCast integration cc @Benkie
