Anyone seen any reviews / thoughts of these initial 100 users?

These should be final production models if it’s the R3 and not the 1 or 2 videos on YouTube on the R2. My understanding is they shipped the first 100 units, sending a small batch first, to verify if there were any issues. You could imagine the logistics nightmare of there were any issues with returning and replacing. There was a may update but it’s for backers only so not going to post it here. If you’re a backer just search your email for “unfolded” or look at the Kickstarter page. If your logged in and a backer you can see the latest monthly update.
How are you finding it so far?
Na they weren’t, they didn’t have working slider thing and the backlight didn’t work. But other than that they were meant to be close to final.
I’m just starting getting into it. But the first look is pretty good. The build quality ist top.
The webinterface looks good, and first problems with the AppleTV integration could be fixed, thanks to the community.
Now i will go further with the Homey Integration and try to get some Actions running.
Can you link or post the solution? I have an apple TV and so curious what problem you had and how you solved it. Not that I have the remote yet.
It was mentioned in the German Forum thread. Just don’t enter the ip address manually. Only the automatic detection seems to work. Otherwise you get an error.

I’m going by the monthly Kickstarter update sent on May 4th. There is zero mention of the slider not working. In fact it said every part of the remotes were tested before shipment. I would post it here but it’s for backers only so or I would provide a cut and paste of the entire message. I will provide a partial cut and paste as the below should be standard QA for any product. Are you saying the May update is incorrect or misleading?
We test every single device before it goes into a box and packaged. Every peripheral is tested - in case of the remote - for example: touchscreen, touch slider, accelerometer, gyroscope, microphones, speakers, button, button backlight, WiFi, Bluetooth, infrared sending and receiving, charging and wireless charging to just name a few. Why do you think the slider is not working? Do you already have a Remote 3? The model shown in the video was a prototype or not with the final/golden firmware. The final production units some have received have a working slider and also the rgb backlight can be changed.
Think we are talking cross purposes. The review sample from the YouTube didn’t have it working
On Discord a Dev posted that the slider is mapped to volume at the moment.
I’m not sure what it would be useful for anyway. It seems too small to be accurate enough to scrub a video to a specific point. Maybe to adjust a smart lights brightness.
Beside volume and video position and your lights I can think of blinds or projector screen. I am pretty sure that more ideas are coming if more people have a R3.
