At this point it is a big ask. Especially at the near end of things. Just sit back and relax.
There last monthly update said orders would start shipping in small numbers. Business speak for send out 1 to 2 hundreds (just speculation) let users play and hopefully NOT find any issues before shipping mode. That way IF there was an issue, they could fix it before shipping so it’s not surprising that they would rather ship out a small batch since it’s a new product to make sure anything didn’t slip past QA. I expect if there aren’t any issues the next shipping batch will be my h larger but I’m a late backer so I’m not expecting anything for a few months. I hope to be proven wrong but have realistic expectations.

Can’t preorder anymore. Orders are done for now. Will have to look online like here in case anyone sells there’s are hopefully the R3 will be successful enough that the next iteration will be more widely available to purchase.

Assume Brexit related. Countries are US and EU (plus Switzerland which has free trade borders with EU). Would guess just certified for those countries or export duty related.
Brexit didn’t stop or hinder the delivery of my R2 to the UK a year and a bit ago.
So why the change now?

I assume your R1 was a Kickstarter, where you paid import duty and vat. Guessing the store is setting up a more mass consumer model. Just guessing.
It was an R2 and yes, it was a Kickstarter.
The order for the IR Blaster and non-charging R3 Dock was a special offer from UC outside of Kickstarter.
You may be right that this is causing export issues, but if it is, I want to be told. They need to be totally transparent if they want to keep customers / backers trust.
I’m shipping number 58, also in Seattle. No word on mine yet.

@Sentinal - Unfortunately, it has not arrived as expected, and UPS confirmed that the package has not yet been shipped. I also spoke via email with the support team, and Tia kindly clarified that the package is expected to go out either this week or next.
While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, I had hoped for a smoother process and timely delivery. However, I understand this is a small team, working out bugs in the process.
I will be sure to let the community know once I get the unit and dock in my hands and will post some pictures.

@harvey28 as long as they deliver on orders already received, all good. I’m also in the UK. I expected to wait until July ish to get mine based on my experience with Kickstarter, so I’m still chill.

My order is for the R2 IR Blaster and R3 non-charging Dock which was a special price offer to R2 owners to compensate for the poor IR coverage of the R2. It was not a Kickstarter pledge, but a direct purchase with UC.
When pre-ordered in August, they estimated shipping in February. On the last day of February, I was told that they would ship the Blasters first, and the Docks at an unspecified later date.
Over 2 weeks ago I was told the Blasters are packed and ready to ship but ‘administrative paperwork processed by third parties’ is holding things up.
Since then, a few people outside the UK have received their Blasters and the UK has vanished from the country drop down list on the R3 pre-order web page.
This makes me think that they are having problems exporting to the UK. If so, we should be told. It is odd considering there is a 0% UK tariff on EU imports. Customer Support have not provided further clarification one way or the other.
This may be speculation and I apologise if I am imagining problems that do not exist, but if it is correct, I expect R3 shipping to the UK will be delayed as well.
Also, who only knows what impact Trump’s tariffs will have on R3 shipping to the US? Even after his tariff u-turn, the EU still has a new 10% tax on exports to America. How will UC cope with this? Will they ask their US based backers for a further payment? Will they cover the tariff themselves? It will be interesting to see what happens. Maybe the update (tomorrow?) will address this.
My bad, someone has posted they took that down considering some people preordered the R2 in 2022 and got kicked back to early R3 due to the pandemic and still haven’t received theirs. So you can preorder but it may be a year before you get it. They have about 5K orders to fill before they would even get to anyone ordering now.. they’ve shipped 200 so far.

The shipped 200 are not approved by UC. It might have been a sarcastic post.
