Is the roadmap just a joke?

I also bought a Remote Two back then and am now very disappointed with the development.
All the important milestones have been gradually postponed.

Now I’ve had a look at the roadmap and was surprised.

According to the roadmap, ‘Pair as Bluetooth HID keyboard / mouse to devices’ should have been working since June, but the remote control is not recognised anywhere as a Bluetooth device. Neither on the PC, nor on the smartphone and certainly not on the LG SmartTV (that’s where I would need it most).
So why does it say it’s built in?

‘Voice support for Home Assistant Assist’ is planned for Q3, but that will be over in a few days.
So postpone it again?

I think it’s a shame that they’d rather release a new remote control to make money instead of getting the software for the predecessor ready first.

Hi,
BlueTooth is there but still beta and not perfect. At the moment it needs a device which displays a number on the screen to be able to pair. It works with Fire TV and a few other devices. Problem is that a lot of devices want to be paired without a veryfication with a number. I also have a lot of these devices most important my VU STBs.

For LG there is an community integration. In latest beta firmware it can be uploaded to the remote otherwise it must run as an external integration.

I am very happy with the R2 and it already replaced my Neeo and Harmony.

Where did i find the community integration and how to install it?

Here is a list of all available integrations:

Installation depends a bit on your skills. External integrations need a permanent running computer or x64 NAS. Installation is normally explained by the author of the integration.

Upload to the remote is only possible in the latest beta firmware and then it is quite easy with a program by albaintor:

To answer the thread title - yes, its a joke.

Where did i found the beta firmware and how to install?

You must enable it in the web configurator, settings, preview features.

I did, but it says “no updates”

Hello,
the communication with my HTPC via Bluetooth is functioning nicely too, except wake up from it’s sleep mode. The UCR2 sends commands to start/end programs, batches and to control some applications etc.
So it would be kind to ask first how to solve a problem, before criticizing something inaccurate.
Cheers, tiki

Sorry perhaps my fault. In Settings software update you must enable beta versions.

I did already …

Try rebooting the remote if you have not done already.

Where can I find such community integrations?

What version do you see in Web-Configuratoe? 1.9.4 is latest. With this version you can enable Bluetooth in Preview Features and upload integrations into the remote.

I posted the link yesterday.

Ah sorry, I thought this was only the toolkit. Integratrions for LG TV and Kodi are also available

It’s working now, i am testing the beta firmware.
Bluetooth mouse is not working, testing the rest

Yes - I consider it a joke as well. Kodi-Integration has in the meantime vanished completely from the Roadmap (which was my reason to purchase) and if they put energy into their R3 model, it’s obvious why R2 is being neglected.

It’s been the worst purchasing decision for me in recent years and how they handled the inferior IR-Blaster performance in the R2 is absolutely unacceptable as well.

The product is a huge fail in my eyes.

I thought they would be mostly the same R2 and R3 using the same software.

Now I have successfully started the toolkit and paired to my R2. Under Integrations, I tried to upload the LG integration. It failed with the message “The filename should not have special characters”. I don’t rename the integration i’ve downloaded. What is my problem?

Then file I downloaded is named “uc-intg-lgtv-v1.2.2-aarch64-20240921_143547.tar.gz”
