Error reconnect with the dock & factory reset does not work

Hi UC community,
Having some issues with my dock. I had it nicely integrated in my config but needed to remove it. So far so good.

The dock still connects to my wifi, but re-adding give a error message “connection refused”. Going through the documentation’s reset steps does not do anything. The button on the plastic cover is unresponsive.

Anybody had the same?

Thanks
Zee

I had the same problem. Delete the Dock within the R3
Then reset the dock and start again

thanks for pitching in. I managed it. FInally. Found that the “button” at the back of the dock takes quite a bit of more time to hold then the 8 seconds mentioned in the documentation

Yes the „button“ on the dock is strange.
It actually needs quite a bit of force.

Maybe there should be a note coming with the dock, explaining that. Since it looks more like a touch sensitive button.

I wasted quite a bit of time, realising this, only through the help of this forum

I thought the reset button was the tiny hole on the bottom side of the dock, so I got a pin and pushed it through…I’m pretty sure the pen went through something it wasn’t supposed to. I understand this is a kickstarter product but they really need better documentation.

Update: I just noticed there is some documentation online and it shows the button on the top to reset. I guess I should have looked at that first but I was going with what was shown in the manual :frowning:

Maybe a hint: what i found out for mine - if the dock connection doesnt work - i turn wifi on the remote off/on and than its connected again.

Also i have set the Dock Custom Connection URL:

ws://192.168.0.xxx/ws

The custom URL hint came from @kennymc.c in my other thread:

I’ve spent over 3 hours trying to get the remote to connect to the dock. Worked for about 10 minutes and the remote won’t connect to it again. I’ve never been as frustrated with a smart home device (I have 30+) than with this stupid remote & dock. At one point the dock said it was connected via poe and I do not have an ethernet cable connected. Home assistant also won’t connect to it but it’s internal web page still loads. Maybe I should contact support, keep hoping for an update that might fix it.

On remote when 2.4 GHz is used only channel < 11 and WPA2.
