Reconnection after Standby

Hi Community!
I have a Problem with my Remote > Hub Connections repeatly.
After the Remote was on Standby it will take few Seconds to reconnect to Wifi, thats clear for me.
BUT what i have is, that sometimes randomly when the remote reconnected to the Wifi Network, it cant connect to the Docks anymore.
The Dock-Status for both, on the Remote says “reconnecting” all the time.

What i found out is, that the docks are indeed connected and dont have any connection issues (i ran constantly pings to them and none failed while the remote could not connect).
1 Dock is connected via Ethernet, the other via Wifi.
The control for all my devices is going via the dock on cable.
So im nearly sure its not a dock/dock connection issue.

What i found out also is, if i disable and re-enable the wifi on the remote, its connecting suscessfully to the docks again!?

So i assume, or my suspicion is more in the direction of the remote itself.

What i have is a multiband Wifi Mesh Network with a Synology RT6600ax and a WRX560.
Yes, it also is using WPA3, but its optional, and the remote can connect to it normally.
Its always just failing on random “wakeup Cases”.

I´m not sure what i can try to figure out whats happening…
The network itself, i cannot play around, because that would have huge impact on all my devices.

One suspicion that i have is, that maybe the DHCP of the Router is rejecting the request, because its too often, or its too slow or something.

Thats why i now have the question if there is a way to configure the network settings fully manual (ip/subnet/dns and so on).
Anf if that is possible, is there a documentation for that?

It could be a mDNS problem. You can try to enter a custom url that contains the ip address of the dock in the dock settings of the remote configurator (ws://ip/ws)

oh, interesting point!
Thank you for that hint.

I switched now to “ws://192.168.0.xxx/ws”

Lets see if that will fix my issue.

But still the question - is there any way to configure my Network settings manual on the remote?

No, the only setting is to use ip addresses instead of mDNS domains. To define a fixed ip you would need to use your routers DHCP server.

Ok thx, yeah, thats what i do, static assignment via DHCP.

I just found this feature request ticket for static IPv4 configuration for the Dock 3: Static IPv4 configuration · Issue #1 · unfoldedcircle/ucd3-firmware · GitHub

ah, thanks - would be nice if that would be implemented :star_struck:

But i think its more relevant for the Remote instead - the docks are not disconnecting from wifi regulary
