The alternative is to learn the infrared codes from the existing remote or search the Global Cache database for the IR codes here: Database | Global Caché Control Tower
Because the Ziggo remote does not work with IR but with RF, it is not possible to learn the infrared codes.
I have ordered the Home Assistant Green. Installed it and inplemented the custom integration of Sholoflt/LGhorizon. After that I could install this Home Assistant integration on my Remote 3. It looks like to work!
I have the Ziggo Mediabox Next and can control it with IR. It’s the DCX960 Arris (normal media box next). I would definitely prefer to control it through wifi though..
It’s really annoying the mini is the only option they offer. An integration is really needed
Yes, I have them both. My first setup is a Panasonic TV and the Ziggo Next with a coax cable. My second setup is a Philips TV and the Ziggo Next Mini with an ethernet cable. For the first setup I have all many years the Logitec Harmony Ultimate. The Harmony cannot handle the Ziggo Next Mini in the second setup, because it use RF instead of IR. That why I ordered the Remote 3. Unfortunately the Remote 3 it self also cannot handle theh Ziggo Next Mini, but through the Home Assistant integration it is working.
