I must be missing something - The Web configurator requires a constantly changing PIN. There must be a way to just set an admin PIN for this, right???
You cannot set it but it changes only if you press it. Simply remember it and you can use it forever or until a factory reset. I have the same pin for 20 month now.

This is incredibly annoying when you have multiple remotes. I don’t want to have to look up pin codes. It should just use my admin pin that I set OR allow me to disable the need for a pin. the cycling is incredibly annoying.
I agree 100%. This was a poor decision by the devs. What helps for me is this - I have Chrome remember the PIN as a password so I don’t have to remember it. Still annoying, but slightly less annoying!
Cycling is only needed after factory reset. I still have the same PIN for my 1st R2 for almost 2 years. As it is no security device make a note somewhere.

This is far from an ideal solution. We should absolutely have the option to set our own PIN and/or completely disable the requirement for a PIN.
I didn´t say it is ideal but before I get angry an generate a new PIN each day I try to remember or write it down. As I said for my 1st R2 I still have the first PIN.

I was under the impression it changes after every reboot, not when you click it…
