Has anyone managed to use the remote 3 and dock with a TCL tv?
I try to learn ir from the TCL remote but nothing happens. Do not want to use Hdmi Cec to control the tv.
I have a Sofabaton Xs and it was super easy to get it to work on that remote.

What model? Android TV/Google TV version? If yes did you try the Android TV integration?
I live in Sweden so it has Android as platform. It is about 2 years old. Model C845 or something like that.
I want to be able to do all that is on the remote.
Try Android TV integration.
It works when the TV is on but if it is off there are no way to turn it on.
Ist the tv in standby or really with power? My Philips needs around 5 minutes when I switched on with a smart plug and the I can switch it on with android tv. In the the I disabled power saving after xx minutes.
You can also mix IR, Bluetooth and IP like power on with IR or Bluetooth and rest with Android TV.

The TV is only in stand by. I do not understand why the dock can not read the ir code because that is what I need to power on.
have you been able to get the TCL tv to work via R3? Could you learn the Power IR command?
I can not learn any keys from the remote. Nothing happens at all. It works well with other brands remotes.
I am about to buy a TCL tv, obviously I would like to control it via R3 - the IR capability is sadly pretty bad. I have read that TCL works via Android TV Integration - but there seems to be an issue with Power On - which is probably the most important function.
Have you been able to get it to work?
Maybe try this: Database | Global Caché Control Tower
The android integration works well but as you said the power on will not work. And that is of course a big problem.
I have bought an Arduino board and an IR reciever and I will try to read the IR codes with it and see if i can paste in the codes in the web configurator to get it to work.
Try this maybe:
“POWER TOGGLE”,“sendir,1:1,1,39000,1,1,142,142,18,71,18,71,18,71,18,71,18,36,18,36,18,71,18,36,18,71,18,36,18,71,18,36,18,36,18,36,18,36,18,36,18,71,18,71,18,36,18,71,18,36,18,71,18,36,18,71,18,285”,“0000 006B 0000 001A 008E 008E 0012 0047 0012 0047 0012 0047 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0024 0012 0024 0012 0024 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 0024 0012 0047 0012 011D”,
O.M.G. You just saved me a oncoming mental breakdown!!!
The Global Caché Control Tower had codes that can be pasted as Pronto codes.
Now the power toggle works. You are a life saver. Now I just need to be a verified member so that i can download the whole code set to make a full working TCL remote.
Thanks a lot for the tip.
I am so glad I could help
On my Philips Android TV Power on/off are working BUT only around 6 minutes after it got power from the outlet. All my devices are offline with some smart plugs.

I’m using a TCL 55Q651G with the Remote 3. I was able to add the IR commands with the dock. In use, I have the UC IR blaster right under the TV as the sensor seems to be a bit weak.
My dock 3 does not “see” any ir from the TCL remote. It works with other remotes.
Now i got most functions from The Global Caché Control Tower but are still missing some buttons so I will try out to read them with Arduino.
