The last couple of updates to my R2 seemed to go differently from before although they did update and the remote seems to be working properly.
For those latest updates I tapped on Download and the update downloaded (this is still sorely in need of a progress bar!). Then I tapped on Install and watched the progress bar for the 2 stages of the update. Then it says it will reboot and it starts that and the screen goes blank. In the past after a minute or so the remote would restart all by itself. But for these last 2 updates after the remote started the reboot and the screen went blank nothing would happen for many minutes. Ultimately I long pressed the Power button and the remote started and everything worked ok.
Has there been a change in the update procedure in that you need to manually restart the remote after the update process?
