maybe I am understanding a few things wrong with this product, but although I’ve setup quite some universal remotes already, I am pretty stuck now and do not know where to start troubleshooting.
UPDATE!
One previous issue fixed (Dock not being able to update)
Another issue found in the existing issue tracker (Bad Request when sending IR commands)
1.) Original Issue (FIXED): I just wanted to update the Dock Firmware to 0.10.0 … Dock is connected via Ethernet and when trying to update the firmware, it says, it fails, because there is a minimum of 20% Battery needed … (?). The remote has over 50% battery … not sure where to start troubleshooting.
Solution: The dock had a problem when it was connected via Ethernet to my main Router (TP-Link AX73) and the Notebook as connected to a MESH Extender (RE-705X). When connecting the notebook directly to the Router, not only did all the communication go way faster, it finally worked!
When I attempt to update a second time, it says, that there is a firmware upgrade ongoing (which in fact isn’t).
2.) UPDATE: Found known issue on Github: When adding an existing IR Set from the list of existing devices (in this case Generic Philips) and adding the device as
an entity and into a new activity - I get an unspecific (Bad Request) error … nothing more. My understanding was, that the Code-Set is immediately uploaded to the Remote as soon as I add a device - so I think there shouldn’t be anything missing.
3.) Integrations … honestly, I do not know, what to think about them.
Philips Hue: Only Lights can be switched - no room or groups that even the cheap Sofabaton could as well as the Harmony. I find this integration therefore pretty useless and hope there will be enhancements.
Android TV: There are not really a lot of buttons and it takes ages to recognize, that the device is turned on. Additionally, although my TV is set to be woken up via LAN, I cannot turn it on via the integration. I also do not get the right volume level back, when turning the volume up or down and the “now” playing bar is pretty useless as it’s mainly a string and not showing any title.
Apple TV: similar experience to Android TV. The UI looks quite messy, and it does not give a lot of information or added value.
So, I am not sure, if I expected maybe too much from the integrations, but at the moment they seem pretty useless to me. I have the feeling a lot needs to be done via Homeassistant rather than withe the integrations.
But that is not my biggest issue (just venting a bit the current frustration) - #1 and #2 are currently my showstoppers. Any idea anyone? Could the latest Firmware in the Remote require the latest Firmware in the dock in order to submit the IR signals properly? (I’ve set it to be sent via all blasters in the dock).

Error Logs look like this - so obciously more connected to any network issue than the battery as it seems. After multiple tries - the Firmware Update fails @ various stages. Can be in the first 2-3 seconds up to shortly before finishing.
