I’m getting a bit tired of this paperweight. My touch screen has two modes: unresponsive to touch or randomly firing off screen clicks sending my devices nuts. I have a big red circle at the top of the display so I assume it’s trying to communicate an update is available. The trouble is, with a completely unresponsive screen I can’t get to the PIN to connect via the web configurator and update it.
Has anyone had this same problem? Have they fixed it? How the heck do I update the FW if I can’t connect to the remote?
This remote was such a great idea and for the few weeks it’s worked as advertised I’ve loved it, but it’s an unreliable piece of junk right now that I have to leave powered down for fear of what it might do in the night.
Do you remember the last PIN you used? It is still valid unless you changed it or did a factory reset.
I am sure you tried already reboot. If you have backup you can try a factory reset.

I can’t remember the PIN unfortunately. I’m on the verge of a factory reset - I wish I could remember when I did my last backup! But of course I can’t find out since I can’t get into the configurator….
Oh, this is priceless! I can’t even do the factory reset since I have to select “restore system” on the touchscreen and guess what? Non responsive touchscreen.
Does it work if you use the enter button to select the button as you can also use the button keys in the remote ui?
Aha! Yes - thanks. That got me through the factory reset and now I’m stuck on “Hello - tap the screen to continue” and I can’t tap the screen. That’s useful troubleshooting though since now it starts to appear more like a hardware issue. I contacted support for help to see what they can recommend.
