T-Home IPTV set-top box on Remote 3

Manufacturer: T-Home / Techicolor / Cisco
Model: ISB2231MAG

I have a T-Home / Technicolor / Cisco ISB2231MAG IPTV set-top box and want to set it up on Remote 3 without any success.

First I tried to teach codes from the original remote, but Dock 3 does not recognize any of the pressed buttons, saying “UNKOWN”.

I also tried to get the IR code table from Global Caché. Downloaded the set, called “Cisco ISB Series Code Group 1 IPTV Receivers - Set #: 2581”. I managed to create the pronto export file and successfully uploaded to the Remote 3 Configurator. However when I am trying to use the buttons, there is absolutely no response from the device.

Read plenty of articles, asked Copilot, but o be honest, I run out of ideas. So any help is most welcome, knowing this is not the most desired integration for many of you

Thanks in advance !

Hm. I am wondering if the code set from Globalcache is the correct one although the name sounds about right.

Just to make sure: have you selected an output device and output port in the IR entity?

Thanks for the ideas !

Agreed, I could not find anything better, not even close …

And yes, output is set to default (all outputs)

The current stable Dock only supports a limited number of ir protcols (https://support.unfoldedcircle.com/hc/en-us/articles/24808755980188-Supported-infrared-protocols). The display shows “unknown” if the protocol could not be decoded. You could install the latest Dock beta firmware 0.10.4 (enable beta updates first in settings/software updates/beta updates) and try to use the new raw learning and sending function. As it’s still in beta you can’t yet use on the remote itself but already verify if it works with the dock
