Suggestion for a different black glass material on top of dock

Love the R3 so far! Being a relatively new user, I have noticed that after 2 months, there are lots of small scratches on the top black plastic slot on my dock where I put the remote for charging. I’d suggest a different harder material right around the slot for the remote?

I agree. Mine looks like a bear has been trying to get inside of the dock.

Yep mine too. Ive tried plastic scratch removal to no avail

The scratch resistance is very poor. The plastic should be made of a harder material.

Hello,

my workaround using one high power IR-LED instead of 24+(!) weak IR-LEDs would easily avoid this issue, because the IR-window could be much smaller (while giving much more reliable IR-connections):
