My Remote 3 is now working very well and I’m slowly starting to think I can replace my Harmony.
Every now and then I get the error message “Sony VPL-XW… Remote is not responding”. Sometimes I just need to wait a moment, then I can restart or close an activity and the error message disappears. Sometimes the only thing that helps is rebooting the Remote 3.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? When the error message appears, the relevant activities don’t start properly and can’t be closed either.
IR or integration? Firmware version 2.9beta installed? If remote was sleeping it can take a few seconds until WiFi connections are ready again. With “keep WiFi connected” is delay is decreased by 2-3 seconds.
It is happens if activity is active “prevent sleep" will remove delays but shorten battery life.
At the remote itself there is an option to resend failed commands for up to 10 seconds.
Thank you very much for your quick reply. Sorry, I left out some details: yes, firmware version 2.9.0 Beta, Remote 3, and the Wi-Fi connection is always active. That’s what puzzles me: the Wi-Fi connection is stable. Yet the error still occurs sometimes. The projector is connected via the integration. I’m using the remote provided by the integration.

The error message appears (sometimes) both when starting and when closing an activity. Sometimes it only appears on start-up or only on shut-down, and sometimes not at all. As a result, the rest of the activity is not executed. If the projector cannot be switched off, then the lift and the screen do not go up either… I can then only fix this manually, essentially by using a different remote control.
I’ve now realised that the Sony projector (ADCP) integration isn’t working properly. I don’t get an error message during installation, but when I call up the remote control entity directly in Remote 3, none of the commands work. As soon as I select any command, I get the error message: ‘Error sending the command, Sony Remote is not responding, code 400’.
