Sony KD-65A1 / Remote RMF-TX201E

Manufacturer: Sony
Model: KD-65A1

Remote Model: RMF-TX201E

Hello,

my first posting here, I was lucky to get a Remote 3 for 350 € (incl. dock and IR extender).

Anyone can provide the IR codes for the models mentioned above?

I wouldn´t use IR for modern devices. Your TV is Android TV based and there I would recommend Android TV integration for general operation and ADB integration for input switching.

Another possibility is the Request integration and an entity which was published on discord.

Discord ist THE source for information because most if not all community authors are active there.

Ich have a Philips Android TV and use the 1. solution for almost 2 years now.

Already installed the Android TV integration - what I’m missing there is the “TV” button.

Just registered for Discord, new to that, and i cannot find anything when I search for “unfolded” - do you have a dedicated link to the community?

What do you mean with TV button?

Thanks for the invite!

The TV button brings you back to the HDMI inputs:

But in the meantime I found out that I can mange that by using a Home Assistant integration.

With ADB and I think with HA you have the possibilty to switch direct to an input. Much better than original remote.

Isn’t the command included in the Generic Sony TV code set? Otherwise you can just learn it from the original remote. But as Ralf wrote you should prefer integrations like ADB or the Sony TV custom config for the requests integration.

Learning did not work, and none of the Sony TV custom configs work.

Please elaborate „did not work“. Do you see an error message on the Dock display? Here you can find some tips and the meaning of each error message https://support.unfoldedcircle.com/hc/en-us/articles/24808755980188-Supported-infrared-protocols
Also make sure to choose the correct output in the entitiy settings and if the device is further way connect the blaster (only when the Dock is not powered) as the dock itself is not very strong and only emits to the top and bottom.
There are also other databases like Global Caché (search in the forum) that offer Pronto codes that may work.
Regarding the requests integration: There is only one Sony Bravia config which is linked in the readme. Not sure what you actually tried

Sorry for the late reply.

I rebooted the UC3 and the Dock, also increased the distance between the original remote control and the dock - finally it worked.
