So, no IR learning without dock, and not with Remote 3 directly?

Topic says it all.

The Remote 3 IR-eye is a sender-only, and are unable to learn codes?

At the moment yes but IR learning on the remote is on the roadmap.

Oh. Sure hope that’s getting updated so i wont have to order the dock just for that….

Thanks for the reply though

They have several generic IR data sets in their system and on global cache you find almost everything which you can use.

That helps, and i’ve received several mails from Global already. Still, i have 3 devices not in Unfolded nor Global bases. My Kodi remote. Heatpump. And most critical my Telia tv-box.

Post the correct device names and versions and I try to add them to my Harmony and learn them. Kodi itself normaly has no remote on which device is it running?

Progress on the Telia box. From the Netflix ESN i was able to extract the model number DCIW387UHD from SagemCom

Seems to be in Harmony Database. I learn the codes later.

Thanks! I have all my devices working in my Harmony Touch but not sure how to extract the codes from there.

You can learn them from your Harmony using the Dock. Ralf will probably learn and then export the codes so you can import them.

That would be great. I didnt order the dock - did a lot of investigation before ordering, and didnt find anything about that the remote itself was, so far, unable to learn codes, so i ordered the remote only.

I hope Global Cache will approve my verification so i can download whole sets soon.

Try https://fritz.rbsoft.de:15001/sharing/eENlHCvuQ for Telia.

Ralf

Thanks!

Didnt trigger any actions sadly.

Most likely Telia changes the IR codes when purchasing this SetTopBox from Sagemcom, effectively making it “their own”.

Meanwhile i checked my Harmony Touch and i have the “Telia Remote” set up as an Kaon KCF-G3 SetTopBox and was able to use some of the codes from that one (from Global) but not all, as of so far.

Going to be a interesting process getting to know the R3

From the website: “In case you need to learn a code, the remote can also decode the popular IR protocols”

I went for it - and ordered the full dock and blaster - crossing fingers for a speedy delivery

You are very optimistic

Has anyone been able to program the Remote 3 for the Xfinity X1 cable box model XGav4-A or XR15 remote, which is a RF/IR remote? Thanks

That box looks to be pretty similar as to my cable box. It’s Android based, so i advice you to use the built-in Android tv integration from the remote.

Works so good that i now was able to just tuck the cable box into a cabinet - away from sight
