Samsung TV integration

The Samsung TV integration will add 1 entity successfully. However, when adding additional Samsung TV entities all previously added will become “unavailable”. Only the last one added will continue to work. Is the integration designed for only 1 entity? I would like to add 6 Samsung TVs.

The Samsung integration supports more then 1 tv only one integration needed. Run setup to add 1st TV then run setup again to add 2nd tv and so on.

Here is what happens when adding more than 1 TV

Are all switched on? I only have 1 Samsung. You can ask on the project page of git or in discord the author directly.

Yes all are on. I have deleted all and started over numerous times. If I only keep one it works great. As soon as I add a second or more all previous additions go unavailable…

Are the unavailable entities still shown in the available entities list if you delete them from the configured entities list?

Very odd. I have 3 Samsung TVs and it works fine for me. As others have said post on the Samsung TV Integration area in the Unfolded Circle Discord or contact the author directly.

I removed from configured entities and now they do not appear in the available entities

OK thank you.

You should contact the developer. As mentioned before it should work with multiple devices. Logs would also be helpful (Settings/Development/Logs and choose the integration from the services dropdown)

I can’t get my Samsung Frame integration to work. Power on/off doesn’t work consistently and when I change activities it sometimes changes the Samsung’s state, even though they are all in the same activity group. I tried to instead add an automation with HA, but I can’t get it to turn the Samsung on. I’ll keep trying though.

Is anyone here familiar with the off switch IP command for the Samsung TV?
Because in the integration, the off switch is actually a toggle.
Because I need a 100% off switch.

When I use switch off in Home Assistant, it does a 100% switch off. However, I’m instead looking for something that will put it into art mode and NOT turn it fully off. Anyone know how to get that done?

The Samsung API sucks at power on/off and state reporting. Samsung seem to be very bad at apis.

I’ve had good results using the following sequences

On Sequence

  1. Switch On (using the Frame TV mediaplayer entity)
  2. Delay (200ms)
  3. Switch On (using the Frame TV remote entity)
  4. Home (using Frame TV mediaplayer entity)

Off Sequence

  1. Switch Off (using the Frame TV mediaplayer entity)
  2. Delay (200ms)
  3. Standby (using the Frame TV remote entity)

However, that turns the TV off completely. Just using Switch Off in the off sequence puts it in Art Mode for me. But only when it’s not in Art Mode.

Hi, my The Frame goes into Art mode when I press the power button. Which button can I use to turn it off completely? Holding the power button down like on the original remote doesn’t work. Thanks, Peter

Is there perhaps a way to choose whether the TV goes into standby mode or Art mode when finishing an activity? For example, by pressing the power button for a long time or a short time? Best regards, Peter
