Had anybody had success programming input switching on Samsung TV ?
Without enabling Smartthings in the Samsung TV integration only the TV and HDMI input select commands work on my 3 Samsung TVs. The HDMI command functions as next HDMI enabling you to scroll through the HDMI inputs. With Smartthings enabled then all of the HDMI input commands work for me.
Or - as an alternative, use GitHub - ollo69/ha-samsungtv-smart: 📺 Home Assistant SamsungTV Smart integration with SmartThings API Support. · GitHub integration in homeassistant. I am using both (UC integration) side by side. Both have their own quirks but by and large work well.
I have struggled with the Samsung integration. The TV/HDMI select worked for me for several months. I only have one HDMI input connected, so this was fine. However, that stopped working with one of the updates a month or so ago.
I’ve tried to re-install the integration and enable the SmartThings API. This only seems to work one time, then fails (the command times out every time). Does anyone have any tips to make this work more consistently?
give up, just use ir for input/power ect much more reliable
