Samsung Smart TV Remote Play/Pause - Odd Behavior

I downloaded the Samsung code set from within the R2 configurator and everything worked great. But I noticed there was no Play/Pause button for some reason. I looked everywhere online for the toggle code and couldn’t find it. There are discrete Play and Pause codes but not the toggle. So I just used my Harmony remote (because Samsung uses BT for that button I believe) to learn the IR.

Everything works fine but there is odd behavior in the various Tizen streaming apps. When I used Amazon Prime, the learned Play/Pause toggle works fine. But, when I use Netflix or Disney+, the same button only registers as Play. It will not pause a video already in play mode. I created soft display buttons for Play and Pause in the Activity and they work as expected. But the Play/Pause toggle hard button works correctly for some apps but not others.

This is not really an issue with R2 as the remote appears to be sending the correct IR signal. Just curious behavior that the same IR blast learned from a Harmony remote would work correctly for some apps but not others. Anyone experience something similar and is there a fix?

Was able to solve my own problem in case this is helpful for others:

  1. I couldn’t download the Samsung code set from Global Cache on my Mac for some reason. Xfinity codes downloaded fine but Samsung was always greyed out and would not send the email with the codes. Happened to be on my iPad and the submit button worked fine - was able to download.

  2. In the Global Cache code set, there was Play Pause Toggle but same problem as noted above (in some apps, it would only play). But there was another code set called Play Pause Alternate which worked perfect across all apps. Here’s the code:

Thanks! That solved my issue with the play/pause button as well.
