Hey guys,
after a lot of “trial and error” I managed to setup my Remote3 for my 2023 Samsung Smart TV using the Samsung integration of JackJPowel.
I found out how to launch Samsung Apps by using the “Send Command APP_”. This works pretty good when connecting the RC and TV by Wifi. As this connection is a bit unstable I buildt another activity using only IR. Unfortunately I did not succeed starting Samsung Apps. I set up the IR and tried to use “IR Command APP_” but only got an error message “No data found”.
Anyone gut that running correctly?

My guess is this only works via IR if there is a dedicated IR code to start a particular app. Are there any buttons on the original remote to start apps that you could learn?

I got a Samsung smart RC (bluetooth) I can not learn from and a “normal” IR RC I could adopt the code for Netflix, Prime Video and Samsung TV Plus from. But this is not enough. I also use Joyn and sometimes WOW, Disney, RTL+, ARD, ZDF and arte Mediathek.
So if there is no way to send a APP_ command I have to do it “old school” by sending a sequence of commands (jump to home screen and the use cursor keys and enter to launch an app).

Yes. I have to do the same ‘old school’ method with my SkyQ box using cursor commands within a macro - not ideal but Sky Q doesnt expose specific App commands within the API.

The Global Cache database contains several generic Samsung IR profiles. Can you check if the following codes work on your TV:
