Remote 3 and Dock 3: T-Home Media Receiver 401 cannot be learned. -> Error "Unknown"

Hi,

when I try to learn the IR commands via the dock, I get the error message “unknown”. As I need the Media Receiver for normal television, the Remote 3 cannot be used. Can anyone help me?
What do I have to filter for in the log so that I can find the relevant entries?

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Frank

PS: Harmony One and Sofabaton have no problems with the Media Receiver

On Global Cache IR Database there are codes for the MR303. I read that most MR receiver use the same codes so its worth a try. They code must be a bit prepared so that the R2/R3 accepts it.

You can try if your Harmony One also has MR303 in its database and test it there in advance.

Have you tried learning the IR commands using the Harmony One or Sofabaton instead of the original remote control?
Alternatively, the GlobalCache database seems to have data available for a 401 IPTV receiver.

Hi,

I have try it with the sofabaton but it don’t works. The harmony unfortunately no longer works. I will try the code from the database.
Thank you for the tips!

Hi,
I get the Code from the database for “power toggle”. Is there any “How to”?

I would create a new remote entity and try if the code above works:

  1. Create a new IR remote entity and select „blank“ in the initial setup.
  2. Add a new IR command, select „Paste IR code“, paste the hexcode1 and test the code (you need to specify the output device)
  3. If the command works you can register for an account with GlobalCache which allows you to download entire code sets instead of individual commands only.

P.S. This support article might be helpful although the web UI now looks a bit different: https://support.unfoldedcircle.com/hc/en-us/articles/13216040791068-How-to-modify-an-infrared-IR-code

Hi again,

Thank you very much! It works.

Yay. Happy to help. Should you register for an account with GlobalCache and download the full set you can do a bulk upload in the web configurator. But the data, will require some formatting for the bulk upload to work.
This post might be useful should you decide to go that route:

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. My account is currently being verified.

And thanks again!
