Reloading a backup of R3 back into R2

I restored a backup of R3 to R2, then installed the missing integrations. Everything looks fine so far, except that R2 is not sending commands, or they are not being understood. Is it even intended that R3 backups should/can be restored to R2?

The software version for both is Beta 2.8.x

It should work. Did you also run the setup for all integrations again after installing them?

Pairing for community integrations is not included in the backup so for these integrations you must pair again if neccessary.

Do you know if ‘Full’ backup and restore is on the UC roadmap? The ability to backup and restore the core, its settings, all included integrations and their setting along with custom integrations and their settings would be so useful.

According to Markus custom integration updates is quite high on their task list. I suspect this also includes backup functionality.

A backup with all integrations would be between 200 und 300MB on my side.

Yes, I did that.

200 or even 300 Mb are no problem these days, right?

You already uploaded integration? I find 1 boring not to image 10 at once. A couple of TB is not the problem but the time.

Fair point but unless you are always on the most current version of an integration then it would help to at least from time to time do a full backup where everything that is working for you remains constant and the integrations and configurations all stay properly aligned and ‘just work’ when restored.

We will see. Out of question a full backup is useful especially if you have more than 1 remote.
