When I try to connect to WiFi I end up with an “X” and a message to either skip or try again. I tried a bunch of times but it still won’t connect. Anyone have any suggestions?
I have different SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 and 2.4 as WiFi 4. For 2.4 use channel < 12 and WPA2.

Thanks Ralf. I have also split off 2.4 and for my router there are only 3 channel choices and all are <12. It also uses WPA2. There’s definitely something going on but I just can’t figure it out.
Happened to me too. Tried many times and gave up and clicked ‘set up later’. After going through the intial setup pages, I went into the settings menu and tried setting up the WiFi again and it mysteriously worked. Weird. Try it, it might work for you.
You can read my posts but I think you will soon discover that the device is littered with WIFI issues. It works for some but for many it is the worst design feature of the remote and bases
I just received my R3 and had the same issue with not being able to connect on either 2.4 or 5. I ended up creating a hotspot from my iPhone and connected to that to complete the setup.
After I completed the setup from my iPhone hotspot, I was able to change the SSID to connect to both my 2.4 and 5 networks with no problems.
Yes - many folks recommend connecting the dock via ethernet first and then configuring wifi. That seems to work best for some reason.
