R3 Issues with setup!

I just got my R3 with 2 docks a few days ago. I spent 4+ hours trying to set it up last night and ran into some issues:

  1. The remote only connected to my 5G wifi twice.. after 10+ tries, and also after setting a specific 5G channel (36) in the router. I don’t know what made it connect those 2 times but it never connected again after that. My 2.4G connection to the remote always failed until I set the channel to 6 from AUTO then the remote consistently connects. I would prefer to use my 5G connection with the R3 so if anyone knows what magical combination of star alignments is required please let me know.
  2. I have not been able to connect the Dock to my 2.4G wifi from the R3 setup screen for the dock because NO wifi connections are ever discovered in that screen, which is strange because I see my neighbors wifi as well as all of my own connections in the setup screen for setting up the R3 itself with wifi. Is this a bug in the remote software or is this an issue with the Dock? I am able to connect to my 2G wifi however by typing in the connection name and password manually.
  3. I would prefer to connect the dock via ethernet, but I am not able connect to ethernet from my ethernet switch. When I try, the dock goes into what appears to be a boot loop. If I connect the dock ethernet directly to my router it then connects using ethernet. My theater uses a switch for multiple connections using one ethernet line so I need the switch. Any ideas why using a network switch with the dock causes the dock to boot loop???
  4. I am not able to see any of my 2 Roku Ultra devices and 1 Roku TV using the Roku Integration. I’ve tried many things but none of the Rokus ever show up. I have my Roku Ultras set to always allow remote apps. I already use the roku app and it sees all of my Rokus just fine. Anyone know why the Roku integration fails to find any of my Rokus?

If I cant resolve at least #3 and #4 the remote is pretty useless to me. I’m still using my Harmony Elite at the moment.

Update:

Issue #1 is partially resolved as the remote is currently connecting to 5G.

Issue #3 is resolved due to a loose Ethernet connection at the router.
