Primare C25 remote learning IR codes problem

Manufacturer: Primare
Model: C25 remote for PRE35 and DD35 transport

Hi all unfolded circle community!

Is there anyone out there that knows how to get the R3 to learn IR remotes codes from a Primare C25 remote that controls both my PRE35 Preamp and DD35 cd transport as no matter what i do the dock will not learn the codes.

I have the following code chart for the Primare below.

I messaged Primare and had Terry Medalen replied and even though he is not familiar with the R3 remote he did say the following; “These codes are proving difficult for learner remotes to capture, maybe by design by our remote control provider, Ruwido”

And then has kindly provided the code sheets for the C25 remote control.

If there is anyone out there that that knows or even knows why it is not working with this remote learning wise it would be greatly appreciated.

I have successfully learnt codes from two other pieces of hifi equipment by different brands without a hitch.

The codes in the table seem to be for Primare’s TCP/IP interface and not IR codes. It might be worthwhile having a look at the “Http requests/wake on lan/text over tcp integration” ( GitHub - kennymc-c/ucr2-integration-requests: A network multi tool integration for Unfolded Circle remote devices · GitHub ). My Lyngdorf amplifier has a similar interface and that worked with the integration above.

Alternatively, the globalcache database ( Database | Global Caché Control Tower ) contains IR sets for several Primare devices (e.g. for the PRE32 but not the PRE35). Maybe one of the IR sets works for your devices.

Thank you for the reply, i will have a look at the first part even though above my level but willing to learn to get the only remote i own that’s excempt from working on the R3 at the moment.

I think i tried the PRE32 ir codes a while back to no avail unfortunately as apparently far as I’m aware the pre 35 uses new codes to their older models to make it harder for other devices or the said pre35 to respond to a more generic codes blasted from another brand device by accident (apparently!?)

Thanks again for taking the time to help ; )

There is an older thread about a Primare SPA25 using the same integration. Maybe this helps as a starting point:
