Please allow for renaming of added inputs

I have added the Marantz generic entity and would like to rename inputs that work and remove inputs that don’t but currently thats not possible. It would be a QOL update for sure if you allowed renaming after the adding of inputs. Thanks!

Same on the Denon integration. Version prior to the current integration release seemed to allow a dialog box which showed the input names as configured through the Denon settings UI (so if you had renamed them the custom names showed) but with the recent version the dialog box seems to have gone and we just have the original input names or maybe I’m missing something here? Seems like a backward step.

The Denon/Marantz integration is using the input names from the receiver. You can rename them on the receiver. I have show all sources enabled during setup. Mabe that makes a difference

Ah - that could be it. Will try that tomorrow. Thanks

My issue with the network integration is the slow response from my AVR. Not sure if its due to the Av10 or the remote but I need to wait a second to input a new command otherwise it wont register. Imagine trying to raise the volume by 1db and having to wait a second every time to do it. Not sure how I can fix this otherwise all the inputs and information is perfect with the network integration.

As I understand it the remote waits for an ack from the device it sends a command to before it will send another command so maybe the response from the AV10 is slow for some reason. I have a Denon AVR which is connected through ethernet (obviously using the same integration) and the response is generally very good. Occasionally though if i’m ‘stacking’ commands by quickly repeat pressing cursor or volume keys it will stutter but I certainly dont have to wait a second between commands.

A new version of the integration should fix some delays as a community developer mentioned on Discord. But this version is not yet included in the recent firmware. Should be included in the next update.

Looking forward to it. Right now I have combined both the network integration and the generic IR integration in an activity and it’s working well. For this that need fast response like navigation buttons and volume controls I use IR and for the rest like source control etc things that you usually push once I use the network integration.

I don’t know how people are using network integration for everything maybe it’s my av10 that’s slow but it’s impossible to use volume controls with it it takes too long.

Do you maybe have mapped the same command for a long as well as a short press action? That could also lead to delays if you press and hold a button as this only triggers the long press action after approx. 1 sec.
To get native long press support you shouldn’t map anything to a long press action for that button so the short press action gets repeated faster when you press and hold that button.

It’s on single press not long press. I can take a video to show the delay if it helps.
