Just setting up my Remote 3, and while I was able to add a single Home Assistant entity (my Panasonic BD Player), the web configuration now shows zero available entities for me to add. The HA integration is working perfectly on my Remote 2 — no idea why it wouldn’t work on the 3.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
As an aside, my 3 requires multiple reboots before it joins my IOT WiFi (2.4 GHz, nothing fancy). Perhaps I have a bad unit?
Because of the limited information displayed for the (very long) list of Home Assistant entities in the web configurator, I’ve found it much easier to install the Unfolded Circle integration in HA and use that to “push” the entities I want to the remote (vs. “pulling” them from the configurator).
If you go that route, it’s best to delete all HA entities from the remote first, or you’ll get errors if you try to push them from HA.
Thanks. I was able to use the HA integration (which I already had working for the Remote 2) to send the media_player and remote entities to the remote. I still find it odd that the HA integration in the Remote 3 web configurator doesn’t list any entities. But at least this workaround does the trick…
I’ve added the Unfolder Circle integration into HA, added my TV but it will not let me add any more entities. I’ve restarted the remote a few times, tried a different browser, added and then removed web configurator a couple of times but still no luck in adding any more entities…and I have a lot.
