No connection to dock and no web configuration and no integration

Hi,

I had some problems with Sonos so I reset the remote updated to the lates beta firmware.
Now the web configurator doesn’t connect and also the Dock isn’t connecting.
It sees the Dock then I ad a wifi point and then it can’t connect.
Also direct from the remote ad an integration is not possible.
It doesn’t zee my Apple TV or Sonos.
Try to reset several times also the dock.
If I connect the dock with a network cable the remote doesn’t see it at all.
My network is from ubiquity.
I see the remote on my network but I can’t ping it
So I’m lost

If you have updated form a version earlier than 2.2.0 you may nee to adjust the dock settings:

  • Manual dock setup in web-configurator: only using a hostname or IP address to setup a dock is no longer sufficient, it also requires the port number 946 for Dock 2 (UCD2). The Dock 3 (UCD3) uses port 80 (which can be omitted) and the endpoint “/ws”.
    Example addresses:
    • Dock 2: “ws://192.168.2.34:946”
    • Dock 3: “ws://192.168.3.45/ws”

If I try to login the Dock I get this message (This is a Websocket server only!)
And how do I login to the web interface of the remote?
Did that changed also?

The web configurator runs on the remote so you need to either use the url form the QR code show on the remote or use the ip of the remote you’ll find in your router. If you can’t even access the web configurator maybe your router has assigned the remote a different ip. The QR code should still bring you to the configurator.

It doesn’t work with the ip address and the QR code.
Te remote is available on the router but I can’t ping it

Have you tried to shutdown the remote and then start it again?

Yes several times also a compleet reset.

Rob

dDoyou have different networks configured?
I just checked my Unify Network and here The remote and the Dock are located in the native Network. VLAN 1. Maybe that could be the Problem?

Yes I have a extra van for iot but the remote and dock is on the regular network.

Rob

I solved the problem.
I installed an old Airport expres and activate the wifi.
Then I connect the remote to that network and everything is solved.
I have more problems with remotes and Ubiquity that it’s not visible.
