[New] Epson Pro/Cinema Projector controls (PJLink)

Hey Guys, i have built a new custom integration to control an Epson projector using PJlink, this is ideal for Pro and Cinema projectors (not Android based ones) where we just need Power and Source controls over an IP and not IR.

This was build and tested against Epson QB1000 (and UC3) however it should work with all PJlink Epson Enabled Projectors.

Disclaimer: I do not consider myself a “Developer”, i am trying my best And i am still Fairley new to the remote (3 weeks), i worked on this integration to avoid using IR blasters and make things simpler/faster.

Please pay close attention to the README.md file and of course, your projector need to be connected to the local network.

Thank you so much, and i hope you enjoy this integration. This integration was made possible by the hard work and inspiration from others in the Unfolded Circle community.

I created an account just to thank you for this awesome contribution. I was really surprised there were no EPSON projector integrations available, and then you created one. Thank you for the great work.

oh wow, thank you so much for the kind words. you just made my day!

@M.a.S.e Greetings! Thanks for putting this together! I am having a little trouble when I try to add via custom integration. I saved the latest tar.gz file and browsed to it when trying to add the integration. I receive the error “Invalid archive, missing data in archive or included meta data cannot be read”. I and hoping this is user error but any help would be greatly appreciated.

the download most likely got corrupted, re download again the tar.gz, and try to re upload back to the remote for integration. reboot the remote also for safe measures.

If you use chrome or safari do not download with a click use right mouse button and select download or use Firefox.

Thanks! Will try it tonight!

Thanks, will try that as well!

Firefox worked. I was able to get the integration to run in the web UI. Now struggling with the setup process. Pulled the projector name and IP address from the projector menu Network>Net. Info. - Wireless LAN. I verified that I did not have a PJLink Password. After entering the above information, I received an “Oops! :warning: Something went wrong while setting up the integration - OTHER” error. Any suggestions?

I am trying to setup a Epson6050 projector.

download the remote debug log for that specific integration, check what the log say . additionally, assign a static IP to the projector . make sure that PJLINK is enabled . make sure the port is not blocked on your network . i beleive it to be 4352

Thank you. Still working a few kinks out but think this has me on the right track.

Hi there,
I’m using a couple of your integrations for my cinema – great work!
I ran into a problem with the Epson integration and my LS12000: the “Power On” button doesn’t seem to work.
The projector has a static IP, the ports are opened in my router, and PJLink is enabled.
Do you have any ideas what might be wrong?

download the integration logs right after you press “turn on” and it will show there what is the issue…. share logs.

“2025-10-04 15:08:33.338935 +00:00 custom-intg-uc-intg-epson-pj INFO ERROR:projector:[LS12000] PJLink communication error on command ‘%1POWR ?’:”

This seems to be the problem. But no idea what to do. PJlink is on.

Please show entire log, not just that singular line. Need to see if integration is connected to your projector. Also, check if pjlink port not blocker on your network, make sure pjlink enabled properly etc.

Not sure how to upload here. Hope GoogleDrive is ok. Port TCP/UDP 4352 is open. Thanks for your support.

From reading the log i can see that the integration constantly try to query the projector and fail with no access , then i can see at some point you most likely turned it on physically with the physical remote, which at that point connection was established and it got an ip of 192.168.178.136 and the projector status was registered, but then projector was turned off and communication was cut. based on what i see this is either a local network issue or the projector settings are not set for “standby” mode which kill the network and shut down pjlink protocol. looking at your device manual page 113 https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd6/cpd61119.pdf make sure communication stay on during standby:

That’s it! I feel a bit stupid, but anyway — thank you so much!

No problems
