[New] Custom Integration - xBox Controls

Cant help without logs.

that being said, i noticed a bug within the xbox, try first to uncheck remote play and then re check remote play again, make sure it is set to sleep and try again (uncheck remote play and re check it, then redo the integration setup and try again).

Major new release:
Microsoft broke authentication flow - version 4.0.0 is out officially, please note the new instructions. Read them carefully. The integration will now take a hybrid approach, you will need to create an app in Microsoft Azure (similar to my Smartthings or Spotify integrations) and then copy a code from a redirect URL. Please read instructions carefully. tested verified working and stable. GitHub - mase1981/uc-intg-xbox: An unfolded Circle Remote xbox controls over IP

I guess I’m lucky as the old method from version 3 still works fine for me. I even set it up from scratch again yesterday and tested it and it all works fine.

Really? That’s really odd. Where are you from in the world? Because for others and myself included Microsoft stopped allowing redirect url. So I had to fix it. Been broken for a while for new users.

In the UK. I do sometimes have to disable and re-enable remote play on the Xbox, but otherwise it works fine for me.

Maybe they blocked the redirect in certain countries. For us in US they definitely did.

@cobhc join the discord channel, i posted a beta build to test this issue you having

fixed the issues. thanks to @bjw-s for helping testing. new version and NEW instructions are up.

Integration update 5.0.x is out.
Backup / restore / sensors / media browser support.

Hi,
thanks for this, but it doesn’t work for me - I’m stuck here:

Enable Remote Features:

  1. On Xbox console: SettingsDevices & connectionsRemote features
  2. Enable “Enable remote features”
  3. Copy your Xbox Live Device ID (required — displayed on this screen)

My “Xbox Live Device ID” doesn’t show up there.
Any ideas?

you need the XBOX NETWORK DEVICE ID. i’ve fixed the spelling mistake in the instructions yesturday.

Thank you, this works, but it fails in the next step:

  1. Copy the entire URL from your browser’s address bar (the full URL including http://localhost:8765/callback?code=...)
  2. Paste the full URL into the “Manual Code” field in the setup flow

I get an AUTHORIZATION_ERROR

In my portal there’s following message in my Unfolded Circle Xbox Integration app registration:

End users cannot grant consent to newly registered multitenant apps without verified publishers.

I do not have an MPN-ID.

Would be nice if anyone could confirm if this integration still works.

Btw: On GitHub - mase1981/uc-intg-xbox: An unfolded Circle Remote xbox controls over IP · GitHub It still says:

Page 1: Console Details

  • Console Name: Friendly name (e.g., “Living Room Xbox”)
  • Xbox Live Device ID: Found in Xbox Settings → Devices & connections → Remote features

It 100% works, I use it as well as others, someone configured it just yesterday. It works. You most likely missed a step during the Microsoft creation side (otherwise it would work)

Either join discord to discuss there. (its alot of more active)
Redo all the steps or provide screenshots on how you set it up on Azure

Integration works. I personally use it as well as others.

Thanks for the fast reply.
After switching to the “old experience” in MS Azure it worked.

Awesome! Glad it works out.
I don’t know why for some old vs new works. Why I wrote both options, Microsoft don’t publish any of this to help so it’s best effort from my end. But glad you got it sorted out at the end.
