Marantz Receiver Info Button

Hi,

Tried the new Denon Integration with my Marantz Cinema 50 Receiver.
Basically its working.
But is there any Chance to get the Info Button from the Marantz Remote mapped to any Button on the R2?
Was able to do this with the Home Assistant Integration - but would be nice to have it with the native Integration.

Yes there is. I mapped my denon info button and also the movie mode button as well, so I can cycle codecs. However, you need to add these commands with the original remote via learning. Itā€™s very simple and works perfectly for me. If you need help, let me know. But basically you have to add custom buttons. Also, this is for IR only. Not sure if youā€™re trying to do this via an Integration or something. I have my denon as a ā€œremoteā€ device.

EDIT: You literally said integration. LOL. I canā€™t read. In such case, I havenā€™t played with the marantz/denon integrations yet, sorry!

Ye thanks. Already got it working with IR or the Home Assistant Integration - but not with the Denon native Integration - that would be my goal.

Is there a particular advantage to using the direct native integration rather than the HA one? The HA integration is working fine for me with the info button and the Movie Mode button so I havenā€™t looked at the direct native integration yet.

I think the native integration has the advantage that, on the one hand, you donā€™t need another device as a middleman (unless you already have a home assistant controller anyway) and, on the other hand, it is less prone to errors. And itā€™s also easier to use for people who arenā€™t very familiar with home automation.

Exactly - Goal is to get rid of Home Assistant.

I also tried this Integration with my Marantz AV7706 Preamp. The only functionality I get, is a page with choices of input sources and volume control through the HW buttons, nothing else. What kind of controls do you have with your Marantz Receiver?

Same here. Only sources and volume control. I think there will be more to come as integration develops further. At least it seems to run reliably in contrast to the original Denon app.

Same here - only Basic Input for now

Thanks! At least I know now, that I didnā€˜t miss anything

I have be able, I think to find the code for ā€œINFOā€ from my original Denon AVR X3800H remote by using the learning function: 17;0x2A4C0280E466;48;0

However, I cannot map it to a button (green) on the Remote 2 for my watch tv activity.

Can anyone help?

Otherwise, remote is great - bit of a learning curve for the uninitiated.

I found a hex table for ā€œolderā€ Marantz models (7015 etc) and it works with my Cinema 40ā€¦
The Pronto code for OSD info is:
0000 0071 0000 001A 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0041 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0041 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0C9B 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0041 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0041 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 04B0

Copy the ā€œHexā€ code, new command on the Marantz Generic AVR1, paste it and set format to Pronto. Tried it 5 minutes ago

Excuse my bad english,
Greetings from Germany

Edit:
Made a csv file for the remote two with all Codes of the marantz-av7706-ir-codes.xls
Maybe it contains too many or unnecessary codes, but this way you can choose what you need
Search for explanations in the original sheet, because some commands like DVD are doubled with different functions (power + input or only input).
