JBL Bar 9.1 SoundBar (Solved)

Manufacturer: JBL
Model: Bar 9.1

Does anyone have already this Soundbar working with the Remote two or Remote 3?
I got it working by help of heimspielvier.

When I select JBL as manufacturer in the Remote 3 Web Configurator, I only get a search bar, but cannot select anything.

So I have tried to add it as a clean IR and have learned all the 10 buttons.
TV,HEX,3;0x10E9D62;32;0
Power,HEX,3;0x212EFF00;32;0
+,HEX,3;0x10EE31C;32;0
-,HEX,3;0x10E13EC;32;0
Mute,HEX,3;0x10E837C;32;0
Bluetooth,HEX,3;0x10E5DA2;32;0
ATMOS,HEX,3;0x10EDD22;32;0
HDMI,HEX,3;0x10E4FB0;32;0
BASS,HEX,3;0x10E37C8;32;0
REAR,HEX,3;0x10EB748;32;0
The Power, +, - & Mute I have assigned the physical buttons and have created a user interface page with all 10 buttons and assigned all buttons.
When I use the Remote 3 none of these buttons work, but with the original remote all buttons work perfectly.

Does anyone have a suggestion what is going wrong here? SOLVED

On delivering the IR of the Remote 3 is off and IR signals can only send through the IR-Blaster connected to the Dock. After enable the IR of the Remote 3 in the </> development settings you can select in the entity that the Remote 3 as the Infrared Output Device.

Your hex codes look incorrectly formatted. Usally they should have a semicolon where there’s a pipe in your posted codes (3;0x10E9D62;32;0 instead of 3|0x10E9D62|32|0)

Because I copy/paste them from the csv file to this forum Windows added | as field seperator, but this is not theh case in the Remote 3. So please read ; in case of |.

Have you assigned output devices in the IR entity?

Infrared output device: Dock TV (that is the only I can select)
Infrared output port: Default (all outputs)

If you learned the codes from the original remote I assume they are correct. Have you attached the IR blaster to the dock?

No, I only used the Remote 3 and used the Dock only for charging theh Remote 3.

But when I moved theh Dock to the TV andn Soundbar and attached the IR blaster to the dock, it is working!

Why do I need the IR blaster and cannot use only the IR of the Remote 3?
The distance between the Remote 3 and the Soundbar is only 3 meters and from that position I can use the JBL remote control without any problem.

If you want to use the IR blaster in the remote, you will need to first activate that option in the web UI under settings/development/preview features. Once activated you can select the remote as output device.

Thank you, that is solving the problem.

Strange that the IR of the Remote 3 is off on delivering and you need to switch it on in theh </> Development settings.
When the IR of the Remote 3 is on you can select only one Infrared Output Device (Dock or Remote 3). May be in a future update the option both or all devices could be introduced.

I don’t think that will be possible due to timing issues that can occur when the signal is not send exactly at the same time from the dock and the remote.
