IR code learning for a long press on a button

Hello,
Here is my third issue I don’t manage to solve alone with my Remote3: how to learn IR code corresponding to a long press on a button of the remote control"?
Indeed, when I learn IR codes of the original remote of my Magnetar blu-ray player, the learning stops as soon has it detects the code for the short press on the button and doesn’t wait to receive the code for the long press.
Any idea to solve this issue?
Thank you.

I believe you have to learn two separate codes. One for the short press and another for the long and assign them in the Web Configurator.

Or are you saying that if you try to learn a long press only the short press is learned even if you long press when learning?

Indeed, if I try to learn a long press only the short press is learned even if I long press when learning.

Global Caché (https://irdb.globalcache.com) has the codes for the UHD800. There are some tutorials here in the forum how to import the codes.
Regarding the long press learning I would raise a feature request on GitHub as this sound like a limitation of the web configurator.

I is also a question how the BDP realizes long press. Often it is only repeated send of the same IR command. Have you tried to leave the long press option on the R2/R3 empty and press OK a long time?

I have tried to press the button a long time but it does not work: it sends the short code many times but never the “long code”.

I don’t find the code corresponding to a “long press” in the Global Caché database. I have imported the code for the short press but it works exactly the same as when I learn the code from the original remote = OK for short press, but not OK for long press.

What function has the long press ok button? Maybe it’s in the list but as a separate command? Otherwise I would contact the support.

It is the “DISPLAY” button that displays Information with short press and a lot more information with long press. It is called “INFO” in the Global Caché database.
