To the developers writing intergrations for the uc remotes. Has anyone thought about or tried to develope an intergration for the the remote it’s self. A way to jump from one interface page to another and save a variable to return to previous page. An entity on the remote to alter button back lighting ect. Not sure what’s possible but just an idea that has so many possibilities.
Controlling the ui externally to e.g. switch to a page is not possible. A new UI that was announced a while ago should make this possible.
Other things like controlling the backlight which can also be done through the web configurator are possible. When you enter your pin there’s a link to the API definition which lists all possible commands and requests
That’s why i thought a integration on the remote it’s self would work. When you swipe your finger across the screen to display the next page is it not just sending a command? When a activity is started and it does the sequence and displays main interface page command? right. And even if this didn’t work being able to change backlight color, brightness, thru macro or start up sequence instead of home assistant would be a lot easier

Kenny’s integrations are great. Sony projector is fantastic but tthe ine he mentioned probably should be built in.
On the page change, easy on URC, Pronto, or any modern IR/RF remote has been a requested ling time feature. I would not hold your breath for the new UI, but it will come. Using the remote as a stateless control capability takes work arounds, as it isnt the primary approach. Discord gets you to the area of discussion on the mentioned integration. Props to kenny

opening an activity GUI or jump to a certain page is simply impossible otherwise I and especially also HA would have used it in the home automation 2 years aga.

I’ve given up on those things but what about just doing the same things that are done thru Jack Powell’s home assistant integration, button backlight/color, screen brightness etc. Adding something like to a startup sequence seems to me a lot cleaner and simpler then having to go to an external device and create an automation or script.
You can take a look by yourself what is possible. When you are asked for the PIN for the web configurator under the place to enter the PIN you can look at the REST API and even test it there.
Make a backup before you test something.

wish I had the time + skills to do it, Ive had the remote like a month and still isn’t 100% spend most of my time creating buttons/designing an interface and testing things out
