I really don’t quit anything and this is just too difficult. I added my TV via an integration and then it wasn’t available. So, I deleted it and tried readding it, but no dice. Even starting with the power supply 2.5A @ 5V (in the US, we need watts, so able to determine that was 12.5 watts, but Apple store didn’t have such an adapter, so settled for the lowest they had. This was a very expensive, lengthy (1-1/2 years waiting time!) process, but they won’t take it back. Previously, I had a good experience with an electronic boost to my bicycle on Kickstarter, but never again with Kickstarter.
I completely understand that you’re frustrated. That said, we try to keep the forum constructive and respectful.
Regarding the power supply: the requirement of 5V @ 2.5A has been stated from the beginning. That equals 12.5W, but not all 12.5W adapters are equal. What really matters is whether the supply can reliably deliver a full 2.5A at 5V. Some USB power adapters negotiate different voltages or don’t actually provide the required current on a standard 5V rail.
About the TV integration:
Could you let us know:
- The brand and exact model of your TV
- Which integration you used
- What exactly happens when you add it (any error message? you can also share the logs)
- Where in the process it gets stuck
When you say it wasn’t available after adding it, do you mean it didn’t appear as an entity, showed as unavailable, or failed setup entirely?
The more details you can provide, the easier it is for us and the community to help troubleshoot properly.
I completely understand that this feels difficult right now, but let’s focus on solving it step by step. Many issues like this turn out to be something small.
