Hue integration has a severe lag / delay

Hi,

I already searched the forum but could not find anything specifically related (if I overlooked it, please direct me).

I just set up the hue integration and the lights can correctly be imported. However, the commands lack horribly. Whenever I try to control a light, I receive an error message “The request timed out. Please try again.”

I already thought that the integration would not work at all, when - after a minute or two - individual lamps would start to turn on. It therefore seems that the integration has a lag of more than a minute between the command being sent and the lamp reacting.

Anyone else experienced something similar? Any ideas how to resolve this?

I’m having the same issues. Super laggy and extremely SLOW. I created a bunch of macros to mimic my scenes, but when I click one of them it takes almost 2 min and 80% of the time it times out. From what I read…I think the best solution right now is using home assistant. Kinda sucks because I don’t have home assistant set-up and I don’t really want to do it just for the lights. I’d love an updated integration.

Yeah, this is how I eventually solved it for me. Had a Home Assistant setup running anyhow, so it was an obvious choice and it’s running fine. But I am still a bit surprised how bad the native Hue integration is.
