How to best control 2 separate nvidia shields (one in home theatre and one in bedroom?)

Hi all,

I have two nvidia Shield devices, one in my basement home theatre and one in the bedroom. I tried to pair as a bluetooth device, but my UC R3 says I can’t pair any more bluetooth devices (as I’ve already paired with my basement home theatre). So I thought I’d use the UC AndroidTV Integration over IP (which I already have setup with my basement home theatre - I have both because I needed some controls what were only on the integration vs. bluetooth). When I start a new AndroidTV integration and selected the IP address of the bedroom nvidia shield all goes well and it says its setup. Now how do I select that entity’s controls for my bedroom activities? I don’t see a new entity - just the old one that was setup for the basement.

Help please? Thank you.

  3. use can potentially use docker so you can have multiple external different port integration of the same integration type.
    i am unsure if the built in one allow for multi device (Android TV).

Hi,

the Android TV integration supports more than 1 device. I have 5 or 6 paired. If you have several identical devices, like I have with 3 the same boxes, you need to give the devices in their settings a unique name otherwise the integration might get confused. I called my boxes something like SZ2 Dune, WZ2 Dune and HK Dune whereas the prefix is a shortcut of the roms where they are located.
