I don’t know what happened but my Home Assistant integration was stuck at Connecting. After multiple reboots of both the remote and HA, I finally decided to nuke it and re-add it. But guess what - It doesn’t even show up on the Integrations screen. What is going on?
Weird. It’s still present in my selection list
It’s been so long since I initially configured my remote - HA should show up an an integration on the Add Integrations screen, right? There wasn’t some special way to add it?
correct. Its an included integration. What software release is your remote on? are you trying to install it from the web configurator in which case have you tried to clear your browser cache?
I’m on 2.9.11. I tried in Incognito in Chrome and then separately in Safari, which I never use.
Usually integrations don’t show up in the list if they are already added configured or the driver_id is identical to an already existing integration. Did you maybe tried to delete the included HA integration at some point to test a new version without changing the driver_id? Are you using the integration manager? Maybe it shows up there and is somhow hidden in the configurator.
I think the initial cause might have been VMWare Fusion networking getting mucked up on my HA VM. I’m fairly certain that is fixed now. But while it was in shambles, my remote lost connectivity with the HA integration. At that time I removed the integration from the remote, thinking I could re-add it.
I do use the Integration Manager, but I think that only lets you install custom integrations. I can see Home Assistant (and other native integrations) but I can’t install them through the Integration Manager.
I had the same issue as well. The only way for me was to backup the remote configuration and reset the remote, only then I was able to download home assistant again. Then restore the remote with the backup file.
Thanks @Reggief142 ! I was doing exactly that, probably at the same time you were posting this comment. I had a backup from March, and was able to restore that successfully. I’m not sure what I have changed since then, but hopefully not much. At least it is working now!
No problem.
