Global option to disable sliders (seek/volume) across Remote 3?

Hi all,

is there a way to hide all sliders system-wide on Remote 3 (both the seek/timeline and any on-screen volume sliders)?

Use case: avoid accidental scrubbing, keep the UI clean, and rely on the hardware volume keys only.

I’m aware I can remove Media Player tiles per activity and use Remote Control tiles, and I can remove the Now Playing widget on the home screen — but that’s tedious to maintain across multiple activities/rooms.

Questions:

  1. Is there a global toggle or theme/flag to hide all sliders across the UI?

  2. If not, is this on the roadmap or available behind an experimental setting?

  3. Any JSON/skin/workflow to enforce a “no-slider” default when creating new activities?

Setup: Remote 3 (latest firmware), sources: LG webOS, Apple TV, Enigma2, Sonos.

No, there no way to do any of this and it’s also not planned.

Configuration possibility of slider is planned. We will see.

But only the hardware slider. This is about software slider.

Which software slider? I would not call a progress bar a slider.

I wouldn’t call the media player progress bar a slider either but this is what the OP was refering to.

Configuration options for the widget makes sense. Even more sense more widet types. But both more low priority I think.
