Generic Android TV bluetooth remote setting is missing context menu

Hi

I just got my remote and have been setting up. I have a Homatics Box R Plus and I’ve paired it to the remote using bluetooth. The issue that I’m having is that I cannot find the context menu/long hold on select. The various bluetooth profiles don’t seem to have it. I’ve set the profile to generic android tv and there are Key_, Consumer_, etc. Does anyone know which of these is the context menu?

Try CURSOR_ENTER_LONG putting on log enter it works for my Dune HD Homatics Box R Plus which uses the same hardware as the Homatics Box R Plus. I use Android TV 14.

Thanks Ralf. Will give it a go and report back

Unfortunately i dont have cursor_ as an option on the drop down menu. I have mouse_btn_1,2,3 and all seem to be select. How did you install the Dune remote? As a bluetooth remote?

Sorry I thought your are using the Android TV integration which I really like and prefer.

BlueTooth try CONSUMER_MENU_PICK

Thanks for the info Ralf. Unfortunately, that only selects.

I’m away from home ATM, but I think I remember having the same problem.
I wound up using Context Menu from the Android TV integration on the long press OK button.
I don’t mind mixing protocols within an activity.

thanks harvey. I’ve removed there remote as a bluetooth remote and used the android integration. The issue still persists with both menu and context menu. both buttons do not work for some reason

You don’t have to remove Bluetooth if you don’t want to. You can mix and match the 2 protocols.

I like Bluetooth for its quick response time. I only used the Android TV Context Menu command for that one purpose. At least I think that is what it is called…

Can you control your device with the Android TV App on your phone/tablet?

What did you assign to enter and long enter? I use CURSOR_ENTER for short and CURSOR_ENTER_LONG for long and it works for over a year now. Try it on the home screen of the Android TV device because APPs can do what they like.
