FYI: Kodi 21 on NvIdia Shield Not Working

I’ve had my remote for a little bit now, use it mostly with an Nvidia Shield, with Kodi as my primary app.

Upgraded Kodi to v21 today for Dolby Vision support and things went bananas with the remote. When Kodi launches it prompts to “configure new controller” then only offers options for game controllers. Currently back to using the triangle.

“I had the same problem : disable the controller in system settings / input. But this is not enough : in extensions section I had to disable the joystick extension. Then restart kodi (kill or quit )” found by Albaintor in Discord.
