After updating to 2.6.12, initially the web configurator strangely lost most of the customization options (e.g., button mapping, used interface). They simply disappeared. Solution: toggle with the web configurator on and off, and clear browser cache.

You need also new dock firmware which will be released in a short period as stated in the release firmware notes!

If you aren’t already, keep the remote in the dock when configuring. It’s prevents the remote sleeping.
You can find the IP address in your DHCP table on your router. It is a good idea to configure the router to use a fixed IP address for the remote to stop it from changing.
You can also tap the top right of the screen and look at the About section.
On the remote, have it tried toggle the web configurator of and on? Additionally, have you tried accessing via ip and not mdns?
