Hi,
is there a way to download generic code sets or at least rename some of the function? I ask because my Denon and Marantz AVR are using the same generic code sets but the inputs are different on them.

Hi HarmonyFan -
I think the better approach, if I’m understanding you correctly, is to re-label any buttons you put on the “front end” UI for those inputs. Can you explain which step of the remote setup process or “production” use-case where this is a pain point? I might be able to offer a better suggestion.
Modifying anything in the build-in generic ir code sets database is and probably will not be possible even with the api. I think this could be due to licensing reasons. The only thing that can be done is to add additional commands to these code sets if you know the PRONTO or HEX codes.
You can also create and upload custom sets that can also be modified after uploading. The web configurator currently only allows you to change the actual code of a command. To rename or delete commands or code sets you have to use the API.
Hi,
I can understand possible license concerns. My problem is that I have a low class Marantz AVR and mid class Denon AVR and the inputs are all labeled from input_0 to something like input_4x and they are not the same for my Denon and Marantz which makes it a bit complicated when I create a new activity. I generated a text file which contains the inputs for both AVR so it is not a big problem for me.

Why don’t you use the available Denon integration ? It is working pretty well and better than IR
Otherwise the solution is to create a new IR remote from scratch and learn the commands one by one
Because the integrations only support 1 device. But last week I created two additional external integrations for Android TV I will try the same for my Denon. At the moment the Marantz is per integration and the Denon per IR controlled. I never thought about this I was only concentrated on Android TV.
