The new Dock 3 firmware, version 0.10.5 was released on July 13, 2026. My dock is running t he previous non-beta firmware 0.8.2. When I am trying to upgrade to 0.10.5, it says there is no update available. I tried to reboot / power off-on the dock, but no change. Am I missing something ? How can I make the upgrade happen ? Thanks !!!
Did you enable beta updates on the remote and reboot the remote?
No, I did not, because 0.10.5 seems to be a regular firmware release, not a beta, so I was expecting this to be coming without the beta enabled on the remote. So should I enable beta updates on my remote in order to get regular firmware releases to my dock ? Thanks !
I just double checked and according to Unfolded Circle 0.10.5. now seems to be the latest stable so it should show up without beta updates enabled.
As a workaround you can manually download the firmware from GitHub. Check your Dock hardware revision (shown in the Dock web ui) and download the matching tar.gz archive from Release v0.10.5 · unfoldedcircle/ucd3-firmware · GitHub. Then go to http://dockip/update/ and upload the ucd3-firmware.bin file from the downloaded archive. If a PIN/Password its asked and you never set a Dock password it’s 0000.

In case somebody is interested, finally I enabled beta updates, upgraded the dock firmware to 0.10.5 and finally disabled beta updates. this was the only way to get the dock on the latest regular firmware release.
Now the remote is willing to upgrade to the latest beta remote firmware, which I do not fully understand, since the beta firmware is disabled, but will see, I guess …
If beta is enabled it downloads in the background.
