maybe some of you can help. I use the Denon integration and also tried it via HomeAssistant and even via IR (Generic IR Codes). I always get the same result as follows:
Pressing Vol+ on the remote only lets the Denon step up or down 0,5, then I have to wait about 1 sec and only then the next step can be made by pressing again on Vol+. With my Harmony Elite it works super fluent and when I click several times the Denon steps up as often I pressed the vol+ key….what am I doing wring here with the remote 3. Any ideas?
@kennymc.c@HarmonyFan Thank you guys! I will retry everything and start from scratch with the integration. As far as I remember I had it working but at some point it changed the behaviour. So I give it a retry, but what I can say is, that I used telnet, but I played around with the long press button. Maybe there was the mistake…..I keep this thread updated, once I rerun/reconfigured everything i the denon integration. Thx so far!
I reconfigured the DENON integration. A quick test showed, that the volume response now is good. Thanks also for the tipp with the volume steps of 2 instead of 1.
What I realized is, that after the integration there are two entities. One ist the DENON REMOTE (with a remote icon) and the other is Mediaplayer? (with a music note icon). Using the “remote entity” in the activity and assigning them to the vol button on the remote 3, nothing happens. Asssigning the 2nd “Music entity” it works and it works without a delay and all is good for me…..
With the media widget of the mediaplayer added to the display the slider beneath the display might work. Slider is still work in progress and at this moment not configurable. It is hit&miss if it works.
They are working on it,not your fault, the Wifi connection get disconnected when remote goes to sleep it need to reconnect again before it can send a signal…hopefully the next update will fix this…
