Custom IR codes for KPN settop box Arris 5202 (Netherlands)

For anyone trying to control the (old) KPN settop box (Arris 5202). I had quite some trouble because the remote refused to ‘learn’ the IR codes. After some searching I found this set which works well (via IR, NOT BT !).

Just in case anyone in the Netherlands is looking for it…

Nice, most likely you can use the android tv integration :wink: , I did that for the KPN TV+ box DIW7022 from KPN.

Unfortunately not - this is for the ‘old’ KPN box, so not the ‘+’ one which is indeed android tv

Ah okay, to be honest the vip 5202 was a better box then the diw7022 the latest one is sometimes just slow with loading channels when zapping

I am trying to get the Arris 5202 from KPN to work. I have tried copy pasting codes from various sources, but I’m only getting different types of errors in the web interface.

@defoortk could you perhaps share the file again? I tried accessing the link, but Dropbox says the file is deleted.

Download the Arris VIP2952 V2 code set from Global Cache. Works perfectly fine with the 5202.

how did you fixed the OK button of the KPN Arris 5202? This one is not in the IR code CSV

It’s called ‘CURSOR_ENTER’ in the list
