Bug: Not skipping Power On/Delays in Activity Group

Slowly familiarizing myself with the R3. Running into one issue that appears to be a bug.

I have my Sony Projector connected via ADCP (thanks @kennymc.c !), an Onkyo receiver running via IR, an AppleTV via the built-in integration, and a Panasonic UHD player. Everything is working except the following:

I have a delay after the projector turns on to allow it to warm up. I have that delay right after the power on with the hopes of when I switch activities, the activity group skips the power on command and the delay. This is not happening. When switching activities it again sends the Power On command and again runs the delay. I’ve tried moving the delay around and I’ve used both “Previous Command Skipped” and “Between Skipped Commands” and it refuses to skip the power on/delay. Do I have something wrong in my config or is this a bug? Screenshots below showing my AppleTV power on sequence, the UHD power on sequence, and confirming that the Activity Group is set up correctly. Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you checked that you’re not using the remote entity in the first activity and the media player in the other? That may cause the remote to think these are different devices and run the switch on command again.

Yes, I’ve confirmed they are the same entity. Originally had this issue when I just had the projector set up via IR and it was still happening (yes, with discrete On/Off and not Toggle). To make sure it wasn’t projector specific I’ve moved the delay around to be after the Receiver (stays on for all activities) and it still powers on runs the delay. Seems to be a straight up bug.

Please post the core debug logs as they contain more infos what actually happens when switching between activities. Got to settings/development/logs and choose services: core and priority debug. Choose at least 1000 lines

Possibly a stupid thought, but could it be because your Activity Name AppleTV is the same name as the AppleTV entity? Maybe try changing the activity name to something like “Watch AppleTV” and see if that make any difference.

Below is the log copied from the moment I booted up AppleTV (at the bottom), switched to Disc, then powered off. Hopefully something in here tells us what’s causing the delay to still run! Thank you!

You are using the projector remote entity to change the input. Use the media player instead as the remote entity power status seems to be unknown. Not sure why but may it helps

Thanks for that suggestion. I’ll try it when I get home (away for a few days). In my head it doesn’t make sense (same behavior was happening with IR commands like the Receiver) but it’s worth a try at this point!
