I’m releasing my first integration for the Unfolded Circle Remote for BluOS devices. Just a warning upfront, the integration was fully created with AI. I’ve used this as an experiment to try out AI and I also don’t have the time to fully work on it myself unfortunately.
I’ve been using the integration for a few months now and I think it’s good enough now to be released and it also has most features that the app has.
The integration supports the standard functions like play, pause, shuffle, repeat, volume, etc. It shows the title, artist, album, cover art, duration, live position.
Besides that it also supports auto discovery during setup, media browser (only tested it with Tidal), presets that were set in the app, grouping/ungrouping of devices.
If you’re ok with the AI part and want to try it, you can find it at GitHub - bjekel/uc-integration-bluos: BluOS Integration for Unfolded Circle Remote · GitHub
Yes, Bluesound and BluOS are basically the same and both integration look very similar. BluOS runs on multiple devices, Partners – BluOS
by the way: any idea why your integration doesn’t appear as Available Integrations in my configurator?
The installation of the integration did complete succesfully? And which firmware version do you have on your remote?
I’ve only tested the latest version on my remote that’s running 2.9.4.
Shame on me, no, I didn’t. And honestly, I’m going to struggle since I’ve never done that before. Just integrated appleTv and android
Ooh, you’re definitely have to learn it to find even more awesome integrations!
If you go to the GitHub link, then go to releases and download the latest aarch64.tar.gz file. After that go to the integrations page, tap the plus icon at the top right and select install custom. Then you can find the tar.gz file on your computer and install it.
After the installation has completed you can add your first BluOS device

@FireFly3k , he is most likely reffering to “integration manager” for “available integrations” for that the integration need to be build on top of ucapi-framework
nice integration @FireFly3k , thank you for helping the community grow.
Ah, ok. I did see the ucapi framework 2 weeks ago, but since I’m using long polling and that’s not a part of the ucapi framework (yet?) I haven’t used that.
Maybe good for a future update to give it a try.
For the moment I’m not sure what I could add, so if anyone has any good ideas please let me know.
Thank you for the development help & support! Astonishingly, I was able to install it
and I’ll have to play around with that now!
